These earthen cookware are made of good quality clay and used for recipes which involve slow cooking. It retains all the flavours of the natural ingredients used. The fish curry cooked in the "chatti" can be stored and used without getting spoilt for 1-2 days.The meen chatti needs seasoning before being used. In the earthen pot or "kooja" water is stored for daily use which remains cool even during summer.
